Vaio VGN-SZ1XP function keys
Now I know whatyou're thinking and no, I haven't installed vista (or linux) and found that my function keys don't work. What actually happened was I went for a fresh install of XP Pro, without using the restore discs.
I have the laptop running great, all accept the function keys. I've been to the Vaio website and after a lengthy trawl they simply told me where to find the relevant files on my computer. But I've just done a fresh install!!! Vaio seem good at making drivers and utilities available, in fact I downloaded and installed everything that was necessary, but nowhere can I find the file(s) that will restore the functionality of my, umm, function keys. Does anyone know what file(s) I need and where I can obtain them?

Booted from an original XP pro disc, reformated and created a new partion scheme. Totally clean install.

Re: Vaio VGN-SZ1XP function keys
OK I fixed it, the necessary files were in the SZ1 Utility Package. I can't remember which 2 of the 14 unlabeled files actually did the trick (possibly 3 & 4) but essentially they reinstalled the service event application and the Hkey component.
Thanks for all the help :/
