Compaq V2000 POST Error
I have a Presarion V2000 that will not POST. I can briefly see the small Press F1 to change boot device, Press F12 for setup, etc. After about 1 second, the screen clears then displays at the top "Press F1 to continue. Press F12 for setup". Of course, nothing I press does anything. I suspect the keyboard may be bad and is failing the self check on POST, but can't be sure.
Has anyone seen this problem before? Thanks in advance!

Re: Compaq V2000 POST Error
Hi moneyshot,
Do you mean you can not boot to windows? I ask because to POST or not to do POST can be set in BIOS settings. So either way, it is OK as long as you can boot to Windows. If you cannot enter BIOS try pressing F1 after you pressed power ON. Continue pressing until you get BIOS or it will show an error.
