ZV600 hp bios problem
ok i posted under the bios erea allso since i wasnt sure were to put this..
ok how can i recover from a bad bios flash? basicly i download a bios from hp installed it and it said it had to restart and now nothing...just lights and fans and nothing else,,, how can i fix this? ive been hearing about the crisis recovery disk and the fun+b keys being held during power up..but ive allso heard about aboot block jumper? can some oone help me with this as im screwed with out my laptop thanks. Unfortunately, bad BIOS flashes are a kiss of death in laptops. There is usually not a removable BIOS chip and laptops don't have BIOS recovery jumpers. If there does happen to be a modular BIOS chip (I do know of one case in an HP laptop where there was one), then you can replace it with another chip containing the correct BIOS.

ok thanks but ive heard that with the pheonix bios that you take the battery out and unplug it and hold down the windows key + B and you get the post beeps and ive heard that if you have a usb floppy drive hooked up that this send the laptop in to a bios recovery mode that hp doesnt want people to know about and thats why ive asked about the crisis recovery disk.. does any one know about this?

If you have flashed the wrong BIOS then clearing the CMOS (I think that's what you are saying) won't work. As for bad BIOS recovery, I don't know about using a floppy, but someone else might.
