The device, \Device\CdRom0, has a bad block

Hi,

i have recently bought a new acer aspire5583nwxmi model. i have installed windows vista home premium in that. now when i am trying to view some video cds in my system it is hanging for indefinete time. the same cd can played by some other systems. the VCD also is a original one bought from the manufacture, not from friend's CD burners.

i am pasting the information i got from the even viewer here. can any one please help me. my laptop is not even one month old and my VCDs are fresh sealed ones.
