[SOLVED] Display
This is one of those more curious than vital posts; but every now and again my laptop LCD alters/ flickers in its brightness.
I have not noticed a pattern to when it happens, and it certainly isn't mechanically moving at the time so I've ruled out a cable issue. Is it a PSU thing I wonder, and could it indicate other probelms? |

Re: Display
I have McAfee security centre running, although the anti-abuse part has expired.
I have McAfee site advisor on my internet explorer 7.0. It doesn't look like I have the IE pop-up blocker or fishing filter enabled (and I can't think why). I'm sure I also downloaded some MS antispyware, although I can't see it on the right corner of the task bar. In looking for the MS antispyware thing in control panel, I also saw that I have the built in XP security centre fully enabled. |

Re: Display
Took the TFT part of my case apart today to glue a crack. As I did so, I noticed that the flicker was movement related, although I never quite tracked down which component. Hope that helps anyone in a similar predicament. Incidentally its not a procedure that I would recommend for anyone with clumsy fingers! Also the back-light seemed to indicate that it was high voltage, and if that's true... be careful!
