System getting unpassable error message

I recently recieved a free notebook barebones that only needed a processor. Here is exactly what i recieved minus the processor...

http://www.uniwill.com/products/perf...0.php?HL=1&P=2

Now i am trying to get this brand new AMD Mobile 1.8 i purchased off ebay to work. I have previously installed processors (atleast 40, i build desktops for a living) well anyways all goes smooth, i apply thermalpaste, screw down heatsink and boot, it loads for about 2 seconds then i get the following error....

************Warning Unknown Processor *************
The processor(s) installed in your system are not known by the BIOS.
Please contact your BIOS vendor for appropriate updates
Fatal error... System Halted

how do i go about fixing this, it is currently running the 1.04 version of bios which seesm to be the newest. Someone told me the proccesor and motherboard bus speed do not match and thast is the cause.

Re: System getting unpassable error message

Exactly what processor did you put in?

That is a very strange error. An incompatible processor is in fact a fatal error like the message says, but a fatal error is indicated by beep codes and not on screen messages because the video card has not been initiated.

Make sure you are using the 67w Mobile Athlon 64 DTR processor.

Re: System getting unpassable error message

That chip (Mobile AMD Turion 64 ML32) might not be supported since it is a lower power consumption chip (35w). See if you can get a Mobile AMD Athlon 64 DTR chip.
