Cannot Find Wireless Networks (Randomly)

I got my new Vista Home Premium Core 2 Duo PC yesterday...and already i have problems...this is the main one.
When I turn the PC on, it's fine...but after 6 hours-30mins, suddenly I get disconnected and I can no longer find the network. That is absurd, I can use my laptop no problem. When I reboot, it goes back to normal.
I tried disabling network card, but it wouldn't respond, almost as if it was really busy, then my PC gets stuck on the Shut Down screen cause it's still trying to disable network card I believe.

have you got it set to do a backup

the vista laptop i bought was auto set to do backup,i never backup anything so i disabled it,if yours is set to backup it will not shutdown until it has completed the task and it will also eat into your available disk space
