Trouble booting laptop PBell H5313

Packard Bell H5315 Notebook Laptop P4 XP home. Sometimes it will boot straight in to windows, sometimes it stops on the dll screen saying it can not find hard disk, then blue screen of death. There is no pattern to it; any ideas?

Download SpeedFan from my sig below and go to the SMART tab. Select your drive there and click Perform an in-depth online analysis on this drive. Take a screenshot of the page and post it here since you can't copy the URL in the address bar.

Also, Run this command in the run box (Start > Run...) exactly as shown. You may copy and paste it over instead of re-typing it.

Hi Matt

It's got worse. I now can't boot into Windows at all. Do u think my hard drive's stuffed?

What happens when you try to boot Windows? Do you get an error?
