id like alienware but those are expensive

Mobility: How much will you need and how long does the battery need to last?
it should last about 4-8 hours

Durability: Does this laptop need to be sturdy or durable/semi-durable?

it should be durable (ill be taking it to school to do my work)
Multitasking: Will you be multitasking with this laptop and if so, how much?
yeah like surfing teh web/playing songs or vids or playing games while playing vids/songs

Gaming: Will you be gaming and if so, how much and how new are the games?
yeah i love gaming...

um...not sure....

For that configuration, I have come up with this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834115361

For a little less you can drop down to 512 MB of RAM, however Vista with 512 MB of RAM is very slow and I would not recommend it.

Re: Laptop help/what should i do/....

I also found this laptop:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834115372

Which is basically the same as the one above except that it has a slightly slower processor (not a big deal) and 512 MB of RAM. The thing is, Vista will be very very slow under 512 MB of RAM. If you upgrade to 1 GB, you will significantly increase the speed:

Re: Laptop help/what should i do/....

Probably not that much cheaper considering you will have to buy Windows for it.
