screen randomly blackens
i have a hp pavillion zd 8000, when i turn it on sometimes the monitor is on and i can get to the desktop menu for like 1-2 seconds then goes black windows runs normaly with a black screen other times the screen does not turn on at all, i managed to get it into bios one time but while in there the screen went black again. me and a mate tried another monitor but didnt know how to switch screen so dont know if that worked or not. please help everyone iv spoke to doesnt know.

probably there is a problem with ur screen after a fall or something.
question:have u noticed,all these happens when your power supply is ONLY battery?

the cable is always plugged in and the battery is not usally in but i found having the battery in as well as the cable got the screen on for a bit but without the battery usally always black screen
