Differences between laptops model

I'm a noob on laptops and I want to know the major difference between different model under the same brand, was wondering where can I find more infomation about that.

I'll take Toshiba as an example,
1. What's the different between Satellite, and Qosmio, what does that name mean?

2. In Satellite series, what's the different between A100, A200, P100, P200, U200, and U300?

3. In P200, what's the different between MB1, RT1, RT2, RT5, and RT7

These are just the examples of what I wanted to know. Are there any site that someone could recommend me so that I can find more information of different model from different brand so next time when I go buy a laptop I can easily tell which model is better than which? Or if someone could make a Guide here would be nice.

THANKS ALOT

Re: Differences between laptops model

Hi,

The different models indicate different specs. Because of the vast majority of differences between the way different manufacturers notate their models, if you want to know the difference between two specific models, post them here and we will tell you.

Re: Differences between laptops model

Thx TheMatt,

i was just wondering if there a trick to tell the different between the models just by looking at their name, something like A100 and A200 tells the different of the size and RT1 and RT2 share the same spec except RT2 got a better CPU etc, or something like that. I guess i'll have to spend some time to compare each of them myself and thx for offering!
