Re: dell inspiron laptop screen goes blank
It does sound like the inverter board. I have a dell laptop that is a little over 3 years old and had to change the inverter board because eventually the laptop will load up and you'll see nothing on the screen. When the screen goes black hold a flashlight up to it and you should be able to see it. Anyhow the inverter board is about $50 on ebay give or take and its pretty easy to replace. You just need the little electronic screw drivers to remove the LCD screen.
