wireless switch dell 5160

I have a dell inspiron 5160 and have recently hooked up a wireless router. my os is xp on this notebook. the router works fine but my laptop says my wireless switch is not on. how do i turn this on because in the past we have used this at hotels and such with high speed wireless internet and now it doesnt work at home. thanks

Check your Device manager for yellow !'s next to items. I don't think their is a Wireless switch on that laptop. If there was, it would be up at the base of the display by the power switch.
