[SOLVED] toshiba satellite p205-s6267 bios
so my neighbors son was sent to iraq.... so she was selling some of his stuff.. she sold me his laptop for $300... good deal if you ask me. i noticed there was a bios password at the time.. but i usually bypass them somehow... such as reinstalling windows...
but this time... i guess the newer laptops are harder to bypass the bios password.... ive tried for a while, i cant even change the boot settings... i cant boot from cd either so i cant reinstall windows with my own version of windows.... i took apart the laptop to remove the cmos battery... but it was soldered on.... before i return this cheap laptop... anyone know of a way i can reset it? anyway.... any backdoor passwords for this laptop? Re: toshiba satellite p205-s6267 bios
Some of the newer laptops are built in such a way that you can not reset this password. Toshiba will help the owner on record bypass this, otherwise they will not help you.
Hacking or backdoor passwords are not allowed on TSF. Even if they were, I doubt we could help you with this. The manufactors are doing this to prevent or slow down the theft of passwords. Any chance you can get the password from the former owner?
