[resolved]Windows Skipping and Glitchy
All of a sudden about a week ago my laptop started acting weird. It takes about 10 mins to get to the login screen when turning it on. Also any type of sound or video file is all glitchy, like playing music it is like a skipping CD type of sound. I have a Toshiba Satellite, 120gb HD, 1gb memory, and Windows XP Media Edition. I have ran free anti virus software like AVG and it hasn't found anything wrong. How do I fix this?
I attached some pictures that I thought might help. Last edited by steveo555; 07-16-2007 at 10:49 AM. |

Re: Windows Skipping and Glitchy
leave the microsoft ones ticked and untick the rest,60 items starting on startup,no wonder it takes 10 min to boot
microsoft a/virus is about all you need the rest you can open as you need them just leave these ticked and if the problem is gone leave it at that

Re: Windows Skipping and Glitchy
registry cleaners are to be used rarely, junk in there does not usually affect the running of the system unless it has become corrupted
then you run from the f8 menu last known good configuration this loads the last good registry
