[SOLVED] Microphones..¬_¬

Hey i got a ei system 3085 and everything works thanks to this website and there very helpfull members xD
but i cant get my microhone to work, and cant find a driver, the microphone is part of the laptop its places above the mouse, all help is much appreciated.

Hi,

The mic shouldn't need a driver. Does your sound work fine? Does an external mic work OK?

yeh my sounds fine, and yeh well i got an eyetoy nd a use tht mic but its really annoying because ive had it so long i gotta hold it up close so ppl can hear me, but i cant see anything in ny of the sound controls to get the mic options

Generally the mics built into the laptops aren't great, but they should still work.

Go to Start > (All) Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Volume Control

Do you see a mic volume control from there? If not, go to Options > Properties and put a check next to Microphone in the box below (scroll down). It should now appear.

Now put a check next to Options > Advanced Controls if there isn't already one. Click the Advanced button and put a check next to Mic Boost. Click OK.
