Hello

Hello everyone. I'm Jay and I'm new to your forum. I have a problem with my ibm t22. This showed up yesterday-a thin white has appeared on the screen. It is about half way up the screen and goes from right to left about 2/3 across. A faint blue line can be seen the rest of the way. Am I loosing the screen?

Re: Hello

Try hooking it up to a monitor and see if it shows up there.

Re: Hello

Hello-With a day off today, I hooked up a monitor to my laptop and the line did not appear on it. I'm guessing that my screen is going to die sometime in the near future-correct??? Jay

Re: Hello

You are going to need a new LCD panel. If you recently bought this laptop as a refurbished laptop, you should return it. You can replace it, but it is rather difficult if you have never done it before. Fortunately, IBM laptops are a little easier to make LCD replacements on then other laptops.

Re: Hello

Thanks for the information. I've had it for some time, so I'll have to find a repair shop. Thanks again-Jay
