Inspiron 8500 help. thank you!!
I have a inspiron 8500 from dell. I shut it off today and all the lights went black. and it will not turn back on. when i plug it in the lights do not show. i've tried the following things
-taken battery out -reset powerbar -unplugged-plugged in -fn/power diag this happens often. normally i just leave it on because of it and this time i had to reset it. Now it will not come back on. Also if i knock it around a little it will turn on. I appreciate any help to aim me in the right direction to fix this problem. To have dell do it will be like buying a new laptop. I'm new to this forum but i will be here for a while and will always offer my help to anyone who needs it. thank you all very much! |

Hi, and welcome to TSF!
![]() It sounds like the solder connection between the motherboard and jack has been broken. If you take it to a local shop they should be able to fix it.
