Login Issues

When logging on to windows on a Compaq nx6310 laptop after entering user name and password it takes about a minute for it to login. I've disabled all services possible and stopped all programs possible from running at startup and it still does the same option. It is not logging into a domain. When viewing the event log. the only things starting up are services that are needed, such as upnp & network connctions services.

Re: Login Issues

not being proficient in laptops,i can only think that it does not start the loading process until after you have verified by logging in and would think the searching for the network would be the one causeing it

Re: Login Issues

but i'm not loging into a network, i'm just logging into windows, so it would not have to search the network for credentials.

Re: Login Issues

It seems to be searching for and loading something. Can you post a copy of your start up file and we can determine what it is that it is searching for
