Laptop Cd-Rom Drive Probelms
About two months ago, my cd drive stopped working. Wouldn't show the d drive on My Computer or anything. So I tryed a bunch of things like going into Contorl Panel and looking at the hardware list, trying to update the drive. Every time I did some update it would restart the computer, then when it turned back on it still wasn't working. It kept making these bad sounding noises (other than the normal werrrrr). Then, randomly and for no apperent reason, it started to work just fine. Showing up on My Computer, able to open, copy, whatever I wanted. Until now. Now it has starting doing what it did before with the funny noises again. Any suggestions?
Info. that I have gathered: -MKEPanasonic -Input-Output range 0230-0237 -8X DVD/24X CD Any more info. questions I will try to find. Thx! |

Re: Laptop Cd-Rom Drive Probelms
Sorry to hear about you laptop optical drive problems. Have you done any hardware upgrades on your laptop recently that would require you to remove the optical drive? If not, just double check that the optical drive isn't loose in the case because the optical drive could have come loose when moving around. Let me know what happens.
