Inspiron E1705 Graphics Error Code
My wife's Inspiron E1705 (XP) has a monitor problem...
The lower 1/3 of her screen is vertical lines/bands (all of the way across) with 4 horizontal lines (all of the way across). After running diagnostics I received error code 1000 0333. Any ideas on what this means and any solutions? Thanks in advance.

Re: Inspiron E1705 Graphics Error Code
Hi, and welcome to TSF!
![]() What diagnostic program did you run? The program might have a list of solutions for errors. Try booting up in safe mode and seeing if the problem is still there. Also, try plugging in an external monitor and seeing if you see the vertical lines.

Re: Inspiron E1705 Graphics Error Code
Plugged my wife's laptop into my monitor and all is well. So that rule's out the video card, right? and any drivers that are involved. So does that leave the monitor to be to blame?
I'm guessing that throwing the computer against the wall won't do anything either, will it? Thanks, D

Re: Inspiron E1705 Graphics Error Code
It is definitely a problem with the monitor. I am going to ask someone to take a look at it. It sounds like maybe a loose connection, but I get the feeling there is something more to it.
