TV on Laptop

Is there anyway I'd be able to get TV channels on my laptop?

Does a PCMCIA TV Tuner card really work, like this I found on ebay?

you can use pcmcia or usb tuners on your laptop. Just make sure your laptop meets the system specs.

Here are my system specs:

Vista Premium
intel accelerator graphics card 950
100gb HD
1024mb Ram

Are my specs essential for a TV tuner???

Re: TV on Laptop

Yes. USB has a bandwidth that is 10 MB/s faster than PCMCIA, so I would go with USB over PCMCIA if possible. It isn't a huge difference, but it will affect performance some.

Re: TV on Laptop

Do all USB tuners work the same or are there better ones than others?

Re: TV on Laptop

With tuners like that, your best bet is to read the reviews. The external ones generally are bad quality if you don't spend the right money.

Something like this would work well.

Good, but doesn't support resolutions as high:
