My little brother in my absence was workin on my laptop , and because the screen was not properly cleaned , he thought he would clean it using the same mirror-cleaning liquid that mom uses to clean the Desktop Computer , and without asking me he used it on the laptop, and now when I power it on , and see my Windows Desktop , the bottom is litup , and some parts of screen are darker and some bright , it seems some of the liquid has seeped and reached the back of front screen cover , plzzzz help , The laptop is damn expensive , its hp dv2000 , What do I need to do plzz help

Re: Liquid seeps into laptop Screen!!!
In most cases, if you wait a few days, the moisture will evaporate. Most of the problems we see with this is when you power it up with the liquid still in place. Tends to short things out.
The best way to fix this would be disassemble the screen and clean all the liquid out of it. Also check your warranty. Some warranties cover things like this. Most do not.

Re: Liquid seeps into laptop Screen!!!
Actually the layers of liquid ont he boundaries are pretty clear , but when you try to press it with some soft maetrial or some cloth , they remain static as if they are part of the screen , and abt the thing you told that , liquid evaporates , hows it possible? ...its on the inside , how does it evaporate?

Re: Liquid seeps into laptop Screen!!!
If it inside the front of the screen, it is going to be a lot harder to fix. I need to check on the type of screen used in this laptop. I'll post back later today if one of my team does not do so 1st.
