BSOD when burning DVD/CDs

When I try to burn a DVD in Vista, usually around the end when it is 'finishing' the DVD I get a BSOD and the DVD is ruined. I'm using this Toshiba program that came with my computer for burning DVDs. Another thing; I usually get a BSOD whenever I insert any CD or DVD too.

Re: BSOD when burning DVD/CDs

The error message when inserting a CD/DVD is: (I don't know the burning one, but its probably similar)

Quote:
A problem was detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage your computer.

If this is the first time you have saw this error, restart your computer. If it appears again, follow these steps.

Run a system diagnostic ultilty supplied by your hardware manufacturer. In particular, run a memory check and check for faulty or mismatched memory. Try changing video adapters.

Disable or remove any newly installed hardware and drivers. Disable or remove any newly installed software. If you need to use safe mode, restart and press F8 to select Advanced Startup options and select Safe Mode.

Technical Info:
***STOP: 0x0000007F 0X00000008, 0X829BA, 0C0, 0X00000000, 0x00000000
Something like that. I had it scribbled down so messy that I can barely read it. I didn't install any new software or hardware. Appeared the day I got it.

Re: BSOD when burning DVD/CDs

This update? What update?

I tried burning at the slowest speed and I still get the error. I even get it when I insert a CD/DVD probably 75% of the time.
