Compaq Presario 1200-XL118

So i get this compaq presario 1200-XL118 from a kid who is going to throw it away and me being a computer geek tells him no i want it to mess around with. It didnt come with a power cord so i had to buy one. That hasnt come in yet and i dont know whats all on this comp. I was messing around with it to see what i could upgrade and such but i couldnt get the case open. I looked all over the net to try to find a manual but cant. i want to see the hard drive but i cant get to it. does anyone know how to get these things open or know of a manual somewhere out there that i can download? any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Generally, you will want to open up the bottom panels on the laptop by unscrewing the screws. Under these, you can find the hard disk, optical drive, RAM, and sometimes processor and wireless card. If you can take a picture of the bottom, I can direct you to the location of the hard disk.

I can get all the screws out fine. I can get to the RAM with no problems. It seems like something else is holding it together though...

I could not find a free service manual for this laptop.
