Sony VAIO PCG-V505BX

HELP !!!!
This is the first time in over 4 years that my notebook wont power up (on AC power) after the battery power is run down. The thing won't work!! I used both of my adapters, plus my aux. power inverter so I'm perplexed?

Re: Sony VAIO PCG-V505BX

Welcome to TSF,

See this thread. Different laptop but might be the same problem and same repair. Note that you don't have to have the heat symptom to have the same problem - yours is one of the other symptoms. Often times you can see if it's the problem by looking at the jack and wiggling it or by looking at your leds and wiggling. A hair's width of movement can cause it.

Could also be the cord itself. Some tend to break internally at the DC plug

Re: Sony VAIO PCG-V505BX

Bill,thank you !!
I did what the thread said and did notice a "wiggle" in the yellow female jack. Now that that's done I'll go from there to fix the problem. Thanks again.
