Razz vista premium won't recognise my DVD help

Hi i have a packard bell easy note laptop with a NEC DVD + RW ND 6500A ATA which has dissapeared from my computer it shows up in device manager as a code 37 problem, help please, ps i'm not very techie,
mouse scotland is offline

hi tried that it nearly worked but i ended u with a D drive, so window thought it was a HD disk, any other ideas please

uninstall and reinstall your burning software
uninstall the drive from the device manager and reboot and see if that fixes it after windows reinstalls
