Startup problems satellite m45-s355

I don't know where to start, I have a satellite m45-s355 intel pentium m, 1.86ghz, 1024mb, 100 gb hard drive. When I turn it on a couple of times the screen was blank. But I guess the real problem is when it starts up and I click on a icon it just sits there sometimes up to 5 min. before it opens up. I have a wireless connection and it comes up twice and says it is now connect. There is a couple of min's. between the second time it comes up, it just freezes. I have run Regcure for the registery and it helped a little I guess. Sometimes I have to manually shut it down. I'm new to this so any help would be great.

Hello kybest, It sounds to me that you might have some nasties on your system. You might consider following the 5 Step Process and posting in the HJT forum.

If your system is clean, feel free to post back here.
