laptop freezing ?? please help ??
I have intel Pentium 4 laptop with window XP home edition. For some reasons its keep on freezing. Sometimes it freezes in the beginning on welcome screen , sometimes it open so nicely and freezes when I try to open any new program. I have Norton antivirus 2005. i cant even hear fan sound from this system. Is there any way I can check fan speed or its operation without opening my computer. Any suggestion ???

You can download either Everest Home Edition from majorgeeks' website, or SpeedFan. These will both tell you what temperatures and fan speeds are. It might be worthwhile to pick up some canned air and give all the vents a good working over to dislodge any crud that may have gotten into it.
