tiny laptop screen

hi ive got a tiny laptop model 8050d after an accident i damaged the screen but the laptop itself worked perfectly well. now the screen doesnt come on anymore (after another accident) but the laptop comes on normally can someone tell me whats wrong with the laptop screen and how i can fix it any help is much appreciated

Please tell us what accident made the screen stop working.

Hi and welcome to TSF. This could be a multitude of problems ranging from a misseated connector to a cracked LCD and even a fried motherboard or video card. You will need to specify the incident so we can narrow down the possibilities and help you.

Does it work with an external display?

no it doesnt i tried it out yesterday but nothing came up

That's bad... unless... Have you tried pushing the function keys on the keyboard (ie. Fn+F5) to switch to an external display. Also, does the computer sound like it is starting up? Do you hear the normal sounds of the hard drive "ticking"?

no ive tried that i cant hear anything when the laptop starts up and the other keys dont work
