Question My first help request;acer e-data

And here it is,
When i hover over the e-data security icon, my pointer turns into a "prohibited" or wrong way icon. you know the red circle with a diagonal bar.
what gives ? kinda frustrateing not being able to use that feature.
my laptop is less than two weeks old and i havent been "fussing about" with things i don't understand(yet) any suggestions?

hey ,thanks for the reply
Yes it worked for the first week (although i didn't use it) i would hover over the icon and it would expand and display "e-data security" text. now the icon is opaque.
