I thought it would never happen to me...I dropped my laptop
Hey Guys
I'm new to this forum, so hello to everyone I dropped my toshiba laptop, it wasn't much of a fall but enough to stop it from powering up. When I try to switch on, it stays on for about 5-7secs and then powers off. I am wondering if there is a loose connection somewhere, but not quite sure where to look. I have checked the hard drive and it seems fines. Any ideas, thoughts, suggestion? pls Thanks Toks |

Hi,
Have you tried reseating the RAM and running the laptop with one stick, then the other? Do you get any beeps on startup?

Re: I thought it would never happen to me...I dropped my laptop
I took out the hard drive and reconnected that; but I am not quite sure how to get to the RAM. I have a Toshiba Equium A60 and there are 3 easy to reach opening (after under screwing) are you able to tell me how to get to the RAM?
Regarding the beep, no beep when I turn it on. The fan comes on about 5 -7 secs later it goes out Thanks Toks |
