Gps

I am running 2 diffferent programs on my laptop that require a GPS to be connected. The first one is C0Pilot that has the GPS connected by USB. The second program is Nobeltec a marine navigation program. This program is searching for a GPS connected to a COM port. If I use a Serial to USB adapter cable should I then be able to use the CoPilot GPS with Nobeltec? If not I have another GPS card made by ETAK that worked in my old laptop but doesn't fit my new Dell Laptop. Is there an adapter available for this card?

Thanks,
Phil

The adapter should work, when you use it, Windows will detect a COM port. But see if you can configure the program to look for the GPS unit in USB rather than COM.
