Laptop crashed using iTunes 7.0 with Windows Vista
Hi,
I was trying to transfer some music from my desktop itunes library to my new sony vaio laptop (VGN-N21S/W) via my wireless network. One song successfully copied to the laptop but when I tried a second file itunes hung and I haven't been able to restart the laptop. There was an error to say Windows Explorer was not responding which appeared after I tried to stop itunes in Task Manager. I tried turning the power off (dangerous I know) but when I powered the laptop up again it still had itunes onscreen and I can no longer access Task Manager. Please help! Do I need to boot up in safe mode (if so, how?) to end the application, or is the problem more serious than that? Thanks for any help, N ***Apologies, have managed to reboot successfully now*** Last edited by Bob_66; 02-24-2007 at 02:02 AM. Reason: Problem resolved |

If iTunes is still giving you trouble, then repair the iTunes installation, or backup your music library and reinstall it.

The reason you experianced this is apple has not finished mapping itunes for vista they posted this on their webpage also it can hurt ipods to be plugged into a vista compter until they fix this problem.
Also booting in safe mod (most likely) will fix your problem.
