Acer beep code?

Today, when turning on my Acer Aspire 5571 laptop, I suddenly heard a beep (lasted for 1s), (other things were normal, still booted, still worked) this hadn't happened before! I'm wondering what has happened to my laptop? Is it about to die? hix hix, hope all my dear friends in this forum help me to explain the meaning of this beep? P/S: I tried to boot again and didn't hear that beep? Oh why?

I would have answered sooner, but this is the first time in a while I have gotten an internet connection. Go into the BIOS (F2 at the acer logo) and disable quiet boot. Then, save the settings and exit, and when it boots again, there will be a bunch of things on the screen, and see if any of the things are errors.
