Does A Dead Power Board Effect Charging Light

WELL NO ONE HAS RESPONDED TO MY LAST QUESTION SO I AM ATTEMPTING TO SIMPLIFY IT IN HOPE THAT OTHERS CAN HELP.
IF THE LAPTOP I AM WORKING ON HAS A DEAD POWER BOARD, WILL IT EFFECT THE CHARGING LIGHT STATUS EVEN IF THAT LIGHT IS NOT ATTACHED TO THE POWER BOARD, BUT ACTUALLY ATTACHED TO THE MB.
ANY RESPONSES WOULD BE GREAT!

Pavillion dv1000 or 1411se to be exact

This particular laptop seems to have it's share of misfortune. I wrote a previous thread regarding this unit and what brought me to this point in time. I have been scratching my head in agony trying to figure it out.

The powerboard basically has the power button on it with lots of lights for other goodies on this unit. It has all but a charging light, that happens to be on the motherboard.
With that in mind can you tell me, when plugged in after a lousy screen repair I saw the charging light for just a blip but then nothing.
When Cust. came to me it powered on, now it does not, the only thing I touched in this repair was the powerboard cause the screen plugs into it.
I did the Neg. Ions bit where I pulled the Bat and held down on power for like a min. and that did not work so now I dont even have a clue.
Any + tech help would do me good right about now cause I have never experiencing this crap before.
