Vaio Display Problems

I have a PCGz1va that is having some display issues. It boots up fine for about 3 mins then all these green lines scroll across the screen then you can not see anything at all. I am trying to figure out of any one has had this problem. I am guessing the Lamp is going or the video card. Any suggestions would help . thanks

Hi,

Try hooking up an external display and see if this happens there. If it does, download MobileMeter from my sig and post the temps.

Your temps are fine. If it does this on an external monitor, then there is a problem with your video RAM.

If the screen looks fine on the external then it could be the inverter card.

Honestly, you are better off getting a new laptop. Replacing the motherboard will be much too hard and costly. If your laptop is still under warranty, use that, but if not, then look for a new laptop.
