Help...trying to re-image Toshiba Tecra 730CDT

Got toshiba laptop off e-bay for son. Do not have pasword for "admisinstrator" and that "user" is running something that is clogginng up cpu. I want to format c: drive and re-install Windows XP Home edition. Because it is running XP pro....by passes start up disk and will not install.


went to bios to try and boot from cd. But does not offer that option.

How can I clean c drive and start over? Thanks

When it 1st turns on, look for hit f? key for boot menu.
Is this a built in cd drive?

Drive works

yes...installed MS Office yesterday to verify it worked. Loaded with no problems. I believe i hit esc and f1 on start up and it would not let me switch to cd-rom at boot up. Is there something else i should do to by pass loading c: drive windows at boot?
