When I turn on the laptop, it says Non-System Disk or Disk Error. Replace and strike any key when ready". I can't do anything, anytime i hit a key it just pops up again! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

normally that indicates a floppy in the dive, or some other boot device with a non bootable media, if you don't have a floppy, make sure it is disabled in the bios, if that doesn't work , Make sure your bios is set to boot from the HD first, and don't allow other bootable devices. if that doesnt work, or give you a different error try disabling your cd-rom, on the off chance it is bad. this process is intended to isolate the problem, not to be a permanent configuration

Hi Caitlin,
In addition to the above suggestions, check to see if you can detect the hard disk in the BIOS by pressing whatever key it says to press to enter setup. Also, please post the mode laptop you have.
