Laptop to TV cables??
ok, i was a bit unsure about where to put this thread and this seemed like the best of a bad job.
Anyway I've just bought a 32" HD-ready lcd tv and i was wondering what would be the best way to hook up my laptop (a Toshiba Satellite 5200-701) to the tv to watch video files? The TV has: (From manual) Euro Scart Socket (AV1/AV2) Component Input RGB/Audio Input HDMI Input S-Video Input Audio/Video Input RS-232C Input (CONTROL&SERVICE) Port Antenna Input Connect over-the-air signals to this jack. I assume the the RGB would work but i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions and what cables i would need to buy. cheers T00FARG0NE |

If that RGB is a 15 pin VGA connector (which it most likely is since it mentions component video separately), then all you need for HD resolutions is a standard VGA cable. You can pick one up from a local electronics store or even from a place like Wal-Mart. Also get a male to male 3.5 mm stereo audio cable if you want to play sounds through the TV speakers.
