SD slot Broken
Alright I have a Compaq Presario V3019US Notebook PC running fine and then one day, my built in SD Card slot stopped working. When I insert my SD card, the computer makes the usual noise, like when you plug in something USB, but it doesn't list under 'My Computers' nor the 'Secure Removal'.
Can anyone help me fix this? Here's a screenshot of my Device Manager.

Do a system restore to a day before this happened, and it should be resolved.
Start > (All) Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.

Hi,
A basic USB SD card reader will cost around $10 or £10. May be your easiest solution Brought one the other day to go with the 5 MP digital camera my wife and I gave our teenager for Christmas. She has had a lot of use out of it already. 1GB card was only £10 when brought with the camera. >300 pictures at the highest resolution. hth Ceri |
