booting
i have a fujitsu note book and my problem is when I boot, the computer fail to boot. It keeps restarting each time.
The message on the blue screen is that there might be new hardawe or software which they are not. Even I tried to boot using safe modes but it cannot. I even went ahead to re -install or intall repair but the set up fail. The problem actually lies with the partition which the setup tells me that it is unknown. The setup cannot delete the partition. Can any one knows how to deal with partition or correct the problem? Please help Last edited by kipkemoitom; 12-28-2006 at 06:09 AM. |

partition size doesn't really enter in to it. click the link given above and get the manufacturer's utility. it should wipe out all the bad partition information and leave you with a fresh drive, ready for formatting and a re-install. The ultimatebootcd also contains the fujitsu diagnostic
as an alternative you can try to repair the partition table with partition table doctor or a similar utility trying to boot to a different hard drive would require a repair install of windows on the drive. then that drive wouldn't work on the computer it was taken from without doing yet another repair install. |
