Can't get Video to Work!

I installed a DVD Combo in my Laptop, configured and installed all drivers, updates, software, etc.

However, when I play a DVD, I get SOUND ONLY! The Picture is a " Light Show"... Can't anybody tell me why?

You need to install a better DVD codec...

WRONG ANSWER! You were guessing, weren't you?

I had to disable the hardware excellerator.

Thanks anyway..

No, actually lots of people have codec problems. The accelerator probably would have been the next suggestion. Anyway, grats on getting it to work.
