So about a month or so ago I replaced the fan in my laptop because it stopped working and I was tired of having to prop it up. I took it apart fine, I had done this a few times before sucessfully. I think I might have accidentally hit the motherboard with the screwdriver when I was replacing a screw. I put it all back together however when I booted it up, the power light came on, the fan spun as well as the cd-rom drive.
The only thing is that's all it does now. I thought maybe it was just the screen, but I checked the connection and it's fine. I also tried hooking it up to a monitor, and that didn't work either. I tried taking it into the geek squad at bestbuy, but they wouldn't touch it and said I'd have to send it back to the manufacturer, which I'd rather not do. All I want to know is if I have to replace my motherboar or not. |

Welcome to TSF. If you are confident in you disassembly skills, try taking it apart once more and carefully assembling it, making sure you got every single connection. If it doesn't work, you may need to replace that motherboard.
