images
i've just come back from china with over12gb of images which i duly saved on external HD.
the problem is is that when i open the photo folder and the pointer hovers over the said file, it tell me that ie; 139mb folder, no probs there, but when i open the folder........no images! I'm gutted as you would imagine!! problem2. my laptops emits a beep every couple of minutes,turned on or turned off! any ideas? |

Well, you have quite the assortment of problems there! First, we'll need the brand and make/model of the laptop, so we can see if this beeping noise is machine specific. Also, please provide the model of your external hard drive. Have you enabled the showing of hidden files on your system? If not, please to so, as this could be a simple solution. If not, we'll need to dig in deeper.

so, figgered out the bleeping, now no probs.
as to the photos. I actually went back a few days on a restore point, if the images were deleted would the folders still show a megabite value after the restore point!? i've tried the hidden and archive attributes to no avail (into properties check the box on hidden/archive)! more help needed please Last edited by wanderingwayne; 10-30-2006 at 03:30 AM.
