CD Drive Wont Recognize certain CDs
I have recently bought an Acer 5112WLMi laptop,
I havent had a problem with it up till now. Whenever i go to instal something that requires more than 1 cd to do so it doesnt work. I put disk 1 in, (Battlefield 2), and it continues with the install perfectly, everything looks normal. Then when it asks for me to put disk 2 in, I do so. But this is where the problem happens. I wont continue the install. All the disk does is spin around very quickly and then slow down as if its skipping. The installation progress bar doesnt more at all either during this time. I then thought that it was just a problem with the disk. So i decided to install something else. I installed World of Warcraft. Disk 1 worked perfectly and then when it asks for disk 2 the same thing happens. The disk spins quickly and then skips. Any idea on how i can solve this ?? thanx |

Hi and welcome to TSF! It would sound to me like a software or OS problem. So far that's all I can narrow it down to. Have you made any significant changes in any of these before these problems occured?
