HP, metal constructed cases more solid laptop.
This seems like a nice unit also although 512 boost in ram will help. http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/sh...EZ579UAR%23ABA |

The HPs generally have a plastic shell with a magnesium alloy casing. They're excellent in durability amongst those specific selections. The Acer is a good notebook, but will have shared memory. While the Acer has the advantage of a 100GB hard drive, the one that OMGmissinglink has provided is a far better machine for the price. For a laydown: It is a Turion 64 @ 1.8 GHz (3000 or 3200+ i believe) with 512 MB of RAM and dedicated 128MB of VRAM. That laptop will perform excellently. Not to mention that massive 17" screen. Excellent find!
