my cd drive is turne off...

i was wondering how to turn it on... i just restarted my comp and non of the cd's work and i turned it on before but i forgot how... can someone tell me how? lol thank you (windows Xp, laptop)

is it enabled in the device manager

Likely a software problem. Try device manager, first. Then try removing and reinstalling it (in device manager).

well device manager has it on but i know theres another thing on Run...but i forgot

idk =( thats why i asked here lol well idk what to do its a laptop and idk how to disconnect the CD- drive and device manager says its installed what can i do?

Hello nynla88. Laboye means for you to un-install the driver in device manager- right click on the device and select un-install. the driver will be re-installed automatically by windows when you reboot
