Sounds like the RTC (Real Time Clock) battery is dead?

The RTC is sometimes also referred to a CMOS battery, however, on these machines it is just a RTC battery.

Look at section 12 of the following link for info. It appears the RTC battery is under the keyboard and NIC cover. Some of these RTC batteries have small pigtail cables like cordless phone batteries.

Real_Bullet:I agree with JamesO's post. Also, you may want to try using Internet Time updating. Windows updates this every few days, so I recommend using this:

Download ArGoSoft Time Synchronizer. It installs a control panel applet that configures it.

nashman20: Welcome to TSF. Please start your own thread. It keeps things organized and allows our technicians to help with one issue at a time in separate threads. We'll otherwise gladly be able to help. ^_^ Thanks!

I have a Compaq Evo N600c and it doesn't seem to turn on. All it does is just flash a orange light and then a green one and then it repeats all over. Can someone please help?
