New laptop and card
I am buying a new hpdv5000t with a 1.83 ghz duocore processor with 1 gig of ram and a 128mb geforce go 7400. I was wondering if Hp is actually telling the truth about the 128 mb of dedicated memory that this graphics card has or does it simply steal the memory from my 1 gig? I have read many articles where people with this card have gotten this card to run at 512mb with hypermemory. I want to know
A: does this card have 128mb dedicated memory? B: what is the most memory it can take from my RAM to use for 3d gaming? thanks |

According to this, only the Go 7200 is shared:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/go_7_series_techspecs.html I doubt it has hypermemory.
